A spare Triflex battery (HX-LA) costs $229 when purchased separately. The Flash provides this second battery for just $50 — a saving of $179 compared to buying the base HX2 and then adding a spare battery.
One important note on charging: The Flash includes two batteries but does NOT include the battery charger cradle. To charge both batteries, you charge one in the vacuum on the wall-mount station, then swap to the second. You cannot charge both simultaneously without purchasing the optional Triflex battery charger cradle HX-LS ($145) separately.
