Shown as item #220 on the CVD 30 Brush Head schematic, the glide sole mounts underneath the brush housing and rides directly on the floor, holding the nozzle at the correct height so the brush roll and airflow can do their job. A smooth, intact glide sole is what lets the machine move easily across carpet and hard surfaces without dragging or scratching.
