Genuine OEM double-bend wand, 100 p.s.i., with a brass valve and one 11006 nozzle, supplied with the PX5 (part# PFX-NS.1) — fits both Tornado and Powr-Flite machines (see the full list below). The double bend is an ergonomic feature rather than a styling one: the two bends in the tube put the handle at a height where the operator can keep a straight wrist and an upright back while the head still sits flat on the carpet.
Brass valve, and why it is worth the weight
The valve is the part of a wand that gets used every few seconds all day, and it is the part that fails first. A brass body stands up to that duty cycle and to the mineral content in hard water far better than a plastic valve, and when it does eventually need attention it can usually be serviced rather than scrapped. It adds weight at the handle, which the double bend is partly there to offset.
The 11006 nozzle and the 100 p.s.i. rating
The nozzle code sets the spray — fan angle and flow at a given pressure — so order replacements by that code rather than by description, because a different code changes how wet the carpet gets. The wand itself is rated to 100 p.s.i.; match that against your pump and your hose before fitting it, since the lowest-rated component in the chain sets your working pressure, and a wand run above its rating leaks at the valve.
When to replace it
Replace the wand when the valve leaks or will not shut off cleanly, when the tube has been bent so the head no longer sits flat, or when the glide has worn enough to drag. If the only symptom is a poor spray pattern, clean or replace the nozzle first — that is usually the whole fault and it costs a fraction of a wand.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the double bend on the wand (part# PFX-NS.1) for?
Posture. The two bends put the handle at a height where the operator keeps a straight wrist and an upright back while the head still sits flat on the carpet. On a long job that is the difference between a comfortable shift and a sore one.
Why a brass valve instead of plastic?
The valve is operated every few seconds all day and is the part that fails first. Brass stands up to that duty cycle and to hard water far better than plastic, and it can usually be serviced rather than scrapped. The trade is a little extra weight at the handle.
What machines does the wand (part# PFX-NS.1) fit?
Both Tornado and Powr-Flite — the Tornado 98166 Marathon 800, 98168 Marathon 1200, 98190 Marathon 2000, TE010-G03-U, TE011-G03-U and TE060-G15-U Surge, plus the Powr-Flite PE060-G15-U and the PS35ER spotter.
