The glide sole (part# K40715600) is the genuine Tacony bottom plate that closes the underside of the 15-inch brush head. It is the wear surface that rides on the carpet, it sets the gap the brush roll works through, and it is held on with the lock-piece kit so it can be taken off without tools for brush changes.

This is a genuine Tacony OEM part. It appears on the 15-inch brush head sheet. The 19-inch machines use K50591423.

What the glide sole does

The sole does two jobs at once. It protects the housing from the floor, and its opening meters how much of the brush roll reaches the carpet.
