Tornado CV 30 Brush Head Top Cover, Yellow K50610390

The yellow brush head Top Cover (part# K50610390) is the genuine Tacony OEM top panel for the 12-inch Tornado CV 30, model 91449. It is the panel you see from above when the vacuum is standing upright.

A top cover takes the knocks. It is what hits a door frame or a desk leg, and because it is moulded rather than steel it cracks at the corners and around the screw bosses rather than denting. A cracked cover is not just cosmetic — once the fixing points let go the panel lifts at speed and can foul the brush roll, so it is worth replacing rather than taping.

Fitting notes

Unplug the machine and lay the head flat before you start. The cover is held by the M5 screws listed on the same drawing; take them all out before lifting, because forcing a partly fixed panel is what breaks the remaining bosses. Nothing transfers from the old cover to the new one.

How to be sure this is your part

Check the width of your machine first. The CV 30 is the 12-inch model and this cover fits nothing else — the 15-inch CV 38 takes K50610430, which looks similar and will not line up. If the plate on your vacuum reads 91449, this is your part.

My machine has a black top cover, not a yellow one. Is this still right?

Not quite. Tacony builds the CV 30 head cover in both colours and gives them separate numbers. The black version for the 12-inch machine is K50625560. They are interchangeable mechanically, so you can fit either — but if you want to match what is on the machine, order by colour.

Is this an original Tacony part?
