Tornado CV 38/2 & 48/2 Vacuum Motor Cable K66497600

The Vacuum Motor Cable (part# K66497600) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement for the Tornado CV 38/2 and Tornado CV 48/2 commercial upright vacuums. It is the short cable that carries mains power from the machine wiring to the suction motor.

It sits in the hottest part of the machine and flexes every time the motor is removed for service, so insulation hardening and chafing at the terminal end are common on older machines. A cable that has gone brittle is worth replacing while the motor chamber is already open rather than as a second job later.

Fitting notes

Mains voltage — unplug the machine first. Note the terminal orientation before you disconnect: Tacony fits two of these per machine, so work on one at a time and keep them identified. Check the grommet and any cable clips while the chamber is open; a cable that has chafed once will chafe again if it is routed back against the same edge.

How to be sure this is your part

Match the part number on the old component where one is visible, or match its position on the factory diagram for your model. Our diagram pages for these machines show every numbered position with the part number beside it, so you can confirm before ordering. If you are unsure, call us with the model number from the machine’s data plate and we will check it against the parts book.

This part is not listed in Tacony’s dealer catalogue, so we have not put a price on the page rather than guess at one. Call 763-535-0770 and we will quote it and check availability.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an original Tacony part?

Yes. This is the OEM component Tacony lists for these models, not an aftermarket copy.

Will it fit my machine if the model number is not listed above?

The list above comes from Tacony’s own where-used records for this part number. If your machine is not on it, call before ordering — the CV and CVD ranges share a great deal but not everything.

Do you stock it?

We hold the fast-moving parts for this range and order the rest in. Call 763-535-0770 and we will tell you what is on the shelf today.
