Tornado CV 38/2 Top Cover Black K40620600

The Top Cover, Black (part# K40620600) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement for the Tornado CV 38/2 commercial upright vacuums. It is the black top cover for the 15-inch brush head.

The cover takes every knock the head meets under furniture and against skirting, and a cracked one lets debris into the belt area. This is the 15-inch part — the 19-inch machine takes a different cover.

Fitting notes

Unplug the machine. The cover lifts away once its fixings are out; check the lens and the switch under it while you have access, since both are cheap alongside a second strip-down.

15-inch or 19-inch — check before you order

Tacony lists a separate black top cover for each width in this range, and the two look almost identical in a photograph. The 15-inch CV 38/2 takes K40620600; the 19-inch CV 48/2 takes K40620610. The part number is printed on the inside face of the original cover in most cases, and the machine’s own model number is on the data plate on the body. If neither is legible, measure the brush opening: 15 inches means this cover, 19 inches means the other. Fitting the wrong width is the single most common return on brush-head parts, and it is avoidable in thirty seconds with a tape measure.
