Tornado CV 38 Brush Head Top Cover, Yellow K50610430

The yellow brush head Top Cover (part# K50610430) is the genuine Tacony OEM top panel for the 15-inch Tornado CV 38, model 91451.

This panel is the part of the head that meets obstacles. Kick plates, chair legs and loading-dock thresholds all land on it, and the failure is almost always a split running from a screw boss rather than a dent. Left alone the split spreads until the cover no longer sits down on the housing, and a lifting cover lets dust escape the head.

Fitting notes

Work with the vacuum unplugged and the head flat. Remove every screw before lifting — the moulding will crack if you prise it with one still in. The replacement goes on bare; there is nothing to move across from the old one.

How to be sure this is your part

Measure the head. This cover is cut for the 15-inch CV 38 and the 12-inch CV 30 takes a different number, K50610390. The two are close enough in appearance to be confused and far enough apart in size that neither will fit the other machine. A data plate reading 91451 confirms this is the right one.

Frequently asked questions

Mine is black. Have I got the wrong part?

No — Tacony makes this cover in yellow and black and numbers them separately. K50625580 is the black cover for the 15-inch machine. Either will fit; order by the colour you want on the machine.

Is this an original Tacony part?

Yes. This is the OEM component Tacony lists for this machine in its own parts book, not an aftermarket copy.

Will it fit my machine if the model number is not listed above?

The list above is taken from Tacony’s own Where-Used record for this part number. If your machine is not on it, send us the model and serial number from the data plate and we will check the parts book before you order.
