Tornado CV 48/2 Top Cover Black K40620610

The Top Cover, Black (part# K40620610) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement for the Tornado CV 48/2 commercial upright vacuums. It is the black top cover for the 19-inch brush head.

The wider head means a wider cover and a longer unsupported span, so this one tends to crack across the middle rather than at the corners. It is specific to the 19-inch machine.

Fitting notes

Unplug the machine. The cover lifts away once its fixings are out; check the lens and the switch under it while you have access, since both are cheap alongside a second strip-down.

Tacony lists a separate black top cover for each width in this range, and they are close enough in appearance to be mistaken for one another. The 19-inch CV 48/2 takes K40620610; the 15-inch CV 38/2 takes K40620600. The part number is usually printed on the inside face of the cover that is already fitted, and the model number is on the data plate on the machine body. Failing both, measure the brush opening — 19 inches means this cover. Width mismatches are the commonest avoidable error on brush-head orders, and a tape measure settles it before the parcel is sent.
