What the filter bag does

The bag is the dust store and the first stage of filtration in one. Air drawn through the nozzle passes into the bag, the media holds the debris, and the filtered air carries on to the motor. On a dual-motor HEPA machine the bag is also what protects the HEPA stage behind it — a split bag loads that filter in a single job.

Signs it needs replacing
