The Tornado Hose 3/8″ O.D. x 7-1/2″ (part# 32193) is the genuine OEM natural-tube jumper used between adjacent fittings in the solution circuit — the short hop from the pump outlet to the tee, or from the tee to an elbow. Short hoses live a harder life than long ones: there is no slack to absorb the pump’s pulsing, so every stroke is taken by the two barbs at either end.

That is why this is the length that fails first on a lot of machines. The failure mode is specific: the hose does not split along its run, it loses its grip at a barb, because it has been worked back and forth a few hundred thousand times by pump vibration. You see a bead of solution at the joint under pressure that disappears the moment the pump stops. People re-seat it, it holds for a week, and it weeps again.
Do not shorten a longer hose to make this one. A jumper cut even slightly short pulls its fittings out of line and loads the barbs sideways, which is the same failure again with a shorter fuse. Order the length.
Fit it with the pressure relieved and the hose pushed fully home on both barbs before you secure anything.
