The Gasket 3/16 x 1/2 x 3 in (part# 32896) is a 3/16 by 1/2 by 3-inch gasket used on these 30-inch wide-area vacuums to seal a specific joint or opening along the airway or housing. Fits Tornado 93030, Tornado 93031, CleanMax CM-WAV and Powr-Flite PF2030.

These machines are built on the same wide-area platform under different brands and share the great majority of their parts.

What the Gasket does

This precisely-sized gasket seals a 3-inch-long joint on these machines, its 3/16 by 1/2-inch cross-section shaped to fill the gap between two mating surfaces so air does not leak past. Sealing the airway at every such joint is what lets the machine hold suction, so even a short gasket like this contributes to overall cleaning performance.

Signs the Gasket needs replacing

Replace this gasket if it is compressed flat, hardened, cracked, or has come away from its surface, or if you can feel or hear air leaking at the joint it seals. Renew it whenever the components it sits between are separated for service, since a set gasket rarely reseals well once disturbed.

Installation and fit

Remove the old gasket, clean the surface, and seat the new 32896 gasket along its 3-inch joint so its full cross-section fills the gap without pinching. Close the joint and confirm it seals evenly before use. Twin City Vacuum has sold and serviced Tacony equipment since 1956, and every part is sourced directly from Tacony.
