The CleanMax Nitro HEPA filter seal (part B283-0900) is the gasket that seals the post-motor HEPA filter in its housing. Its job is to force every bit of exhaust air through the HEPA media rather than letting it slip around the edges — which is the difference between genuine HEPA-level filtration and dusty air leaking back into the room.
When this seal hardens, compresses, or tears, unfiltered air bypasses the HEPA element and the machine’s exhaust is no longer as clean as it should be, even with a good filter fitted.
