The 54.128 switch cover seal is the gasket that seals the on/off switch cover to the body on Tacony commercial uprights. It keeps the switch opening sealed against dust and keeps the local airflow path closed around the switch housing.
A hardened, torn, or missing switch cover seal lets dust work into the switch opening and can disturb the local airflow path around the switch. Replacing this inexpensive gasket keeps the switch area clean and correctly sealed, and it is easy to renew whenever the switch cover is off for any other repair.
