Pivot Sleeve 30464

The Pivot Sleeve (part# 30464) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement part for the wide-area vacuum family, and it fits more than one machine. This large Pivot Sleeve rides on the pivot shaft between the handle and the nozzle body, giving the handle a smooth, controlled bearing surface so the machine tilts back and steers left and right without slop. Fits Tornado 93030, Tornado 93031, CleanMax CM-WAV and Powr-Flite PF2030.

Compatible Models for the Pivot Sleeve

• Tornado 93030 30″ Clean-Air Carpetkeeper (Wide Area) — all series D through J
• Tornado 93031 30″ Clean-Air Carpetkeeper (Wide Area) 230V
• CleanMax CM-WAV Wide Area Vacuum
• Powr-Flite PF2030 30-Inch Wide Area Commercial Vacuum

The Pivot Sleeve is a bushing that wears from the constant back-and-forth of steering a heavy wide-area machine. As the sleeve wears, the handle develops side-to-side play, steering feels loose or notchy, and you may hear a squeak or knock as the handle rocks. Left too long, a worn sleeve lets the pivot shaft egg-out its bore and damage costlier parts, so replacing the sleeve early protects the pivot. Installation is a press-fit onto the pivot shaft once the handle is separated from the nozzle.

Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tacony equipment since 1956 and stocks the genuine 30464 part rather than a generic substitute. Browse the full Tornado CK 3030 wide-area vacuum for related parts, or read more on the Tornado manufacturer site.
