Genuine Tacony main chassis for the Tornado CK 3030 Wide Area Vacuum (Model 93030). Call 763-535-0770 to confirm current pricing.

The Main Chassis (part# 33036) is the genuine Tacony OEM structural body of the Tornado CK 3030 wide-area vacuum (Model 93030). Every other component on the machine mounts to it.

The chassis carries both motors, the brush housing, the wheels and caster, the handle pivot and the lid, and it also forms part of the sealed air path from nozzle to bag. That dual role — structure and airway — is what makes it more than a shell. A chassis that has cracked around a motor mount will let the assembly flex under load, and a crack anywhere on the air path is a suction leak that no amount of filter changing will fix.

Chassis replacement is a major repair, usually prompted by impact damage, a cracked mounting boss that can no longer hold a fastener, or corrosion at the wheel and pivot mountings. Before ordering one it is worth having the machine assessed — on a high-hour unit the cost of a chassis and the labour to transfer everything onto it can approach the value of the machine. Call us and we will give you an honest view.

This part is confirmed on the Series G parts diagram for this machine. The CK 3030 was built in several series (D through J) and Tacony shares most of this hardware across the Tornado, CleanMax, Riccar, Simplicity and Powr-Flite ranges, so wider fitment is likely but is not yet confirmed here. Call 763-535-0770 with your machine’s series letter and we will confirm before you order.

Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tacony equipment since 1956 and stocks the genuine 33036 part. Browse the full Tornado 93030 main assembly parts, or read more on the Tornado manufacturer site.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Main Chassis do on the Tornado 93030?

It is the structural body, the brush housing, wheels, caster, handle pivot and lid all mount to it, and it forms part of the sealed air path from nozzle to bag.

How do I know if my Main Chassis needs replacing?

Look for cracks around motor mounts or fastener bosses, a boss that will no longer hold a screw tight, impact damage, distortion that stops the lid sealing, or corrosion at the wheel and pivot points. A crack on the air path shows up as suction loss you cannot trace to bag, filter or hose.

Is replacing the chassis worth it?

It is a full strip and rebuild, so on a high-hour machine the part plus labour can approach the machine’s value. Have it assessed first — call 763-535-0770 and we will tell you honestly whether a chassis or a replacement machine is the better spend.
