Genuine OEM belt guard (part# B014-0000) for the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC. Call 763-535-0770.

The Belt Guard (part# B014-0000) is the cover over the belt and motor shaft on the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V), and on the Powr-Flite PF62EC.

This is a guard in the safety sense, not a trim panel. It stands between fingers and a belt running on a motor shaft, and it stops carpet fringe, cable and clothing being drawn into the drive. A machine missing its belt guard should not be on a floor, and in most facilities it would not pass an equipment check.

Why it goes missing

Belt guards are lost rather than worn out. They come off for a belt change, get put on a shelf, and the machine goes back into service without them. The second most common history is a guard that was refitted with a missing screw and worked loose, then vibrated off somewhere on the route. Both are worth a word with whoever services the fleet, because the part is inexpensive and the exposure is not.

When you fit one, check that it sits flush and that every fastener is present. A guard held by one screw pivots, and a pivoting guard can foul the belt — which turns a safety part into the cause of a breakdown.

Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number and we will confirm the part before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which machines does this belt guard fit?

The Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC.

Can the machine be run without it?

It will run, but it should not be used. The guard is what keeps fingers, fringe and cable out of a belt turning on a motor shaft, and most facilities equipment checks will fail a machine without one.

Mine keeps working loose. What should I check?

That every fastener is present and tight. A guard held by one screw pivots, and once it pivots it can foul the belt.
