The X1102 cord strain relief is the molded bushing that anchors the power cord where it enters the vacuum body, taking the mechanical load off the internal wiring so tugging on the cord does not pull on the electrical terminals. It is a safety-critical part that keeps the cord entry sealed and secured.
Strain reliefs crack or work loose over years of the cord being pulled, wrapped and dragged, which can expose the wiring and create a shock or short hazard.
