What the bottom motor mount does

The motor is suspended between two cushions, and this is the lower one. It carries the motor’s static weight, takes the downward shock every time the machine is set down or dropped onto its base, and seals the bottom of the motor shroud so exhaust air is directed where the design intends rather than escaping into the housing.
