$2.99
Genuine Tacony OEM hose inlet elbow, part number B352-0600, for Tornado Pac-Vac, CleanMax CMBP and Powr-Flite backpack vacuums. Also listed by Tacony as the hose inlet. The fitting the vacuum hose locks into at the top cover.
The hose inlet elbow (part# B352-0600) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement part compatible with multiple backpack vacuum models across the Tornado, CleanMax and Powr-Flite ranges. It is the curved moulded fitting that carries the hose cuff into the top of a 6-quart backpack canister. Tacony’s dealer catalogue lists it as the hose inlet; the PartSmart parts book calls the same number the inlet elbow. Both names refer to this part.

What the hose inlet elbow does
The elbow is the mouth of the machine. The hose cuff locks into it, and it turns that connection through roughly ninety degrees so the airflow enters the bag compartment cleanly rather than blasting straight at the bag wall. It passes through an opening in the top cover and is sealed to it by the inlet seal (part# B352-4800).
It takes more abuse than almost any other part on a backpack vacuum, because it is the pivot point for every tug on the hose. An operator working a corridor swings forty feet of hose off this fitting hundreds of times a shift, and the load lands on the elbow’s neck and on the locking detail that holds the cuff.
When to replace the hose inlet elbow
Replace it when the hose cuff no longer locks positively and can be pulled free without releasing the catch, when the cuff wobbles in the socket, or when you can see a crack at the neck or around the mounting flange. A hairline crack in the elbow leaks air the whole time the machine runs and will grow every time the hose is yanked.
Also replace it if a previous repair has been made with tape or adhesive. A patched elbow is a temporary fix that hides a growing crack, and the failure usually finishes in the middle of a shift rather than on a bench.
The elbow, the inlet seal (part# B352-4800) and the body seal (part# B352-1200) make up the upper sealing set on these machines. If the top cover is already off, doing all three is the difference between recovering most of the lost suction and recovering all of it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the hose inlet elbow (part# B352-0600) do?
It is the fitting the vacuum hose locks into, and it carries the airflow through the top cover and into the bag compartment. It also takes the mechanical load every time the hose is pulled.
Is the hose inlet the same as the inlet elbow (part# B352-0600)?
Yes. Tacony lists this part as the hose inlet while PartSmart diagrams label the same B352-0600 the inlet elbow. The part number is the identifier — if the diagram callout points to B352-0600, this is the correct part.
How do I know if my hose inlet elbow (part# B352-0600) needs replacing?
The hose cuff no longer locks positively or can be rocked in the socket, there is a visible crack at the neck or flange, or the machine has lost suction that a new bag and clean filters do not restore. Any previous tape or glue repair is also a reason to replace it.
