Miele Boost CX1 Compact Bagless Canister Vacuum — Maximum Suction in a Space-Saving Design

The Miele Boost CX1 (SNRE0) is Miele’s compact entry-level bagless canister vacuum — delivering 1200W Vortex Technology suction, the innovative TrackDrive stability system, and Miele’s German engineering standards in a significantly smaller and lighter package than the Blizzard CX1 series. Designed for apartments, smaller homes, and users who prioritize compact storage and easy maneuverability over large dustbin capacity and advanced filtration features. Priced at $589.00.

Important buying guidance: The Boost CX1 includes a suction-only AllTeQ floorhead — it performs best on hard floors and low-pile carpet. It is not designed for deep carpet cleaning. If your home has significant carpet, consider the Miele Blizzard CX1 TurboTeam at $679 or Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog at $999.

Key Features of the Miele Boost CX1

Compact Design — Built for Apartments and Smaller Homes

The Boost CX1 measures just 15¾″ wide × 11″ high × 11″ deep and weighs 18 lbs (7.8 kg) — significantly smaller and more compact than the Blizzard CX1 series. The compact footprint makes it easier to store in apartment closets, tight spaces, and homes where vacuum storage is limited. Miele specifically positions the Boost CX1 for users where space is at a premium — it is designed to be set down safely on stairs during stair cleaning without tipping, thanks to the TrackDrive side wheels.

TrackDrive — Stability System That Keeps the Canister on Course

The Boost CX1’s most distinctive feature is TrackDrive — side wheels mounted on the canister body that keep it stable, balanced, and tracking straight as you pull it across floors. These side wheels prevent the canister from tipping over on hard floors, allow it to be safely parked on any stair step during stair cleaning, and stop it from veering off course and running into furniture or walls. TrackDrive is the reason the Boost CX1 is exceptionally easy to maneuver in apartments and tight spaces — the canister follows precisely where you lead it.

Vortex Technology — 1200W, Airflow Over 62 mph

Despite its compact size, the Boost CX1 uses the same Vortex Technology and 1200W motor as the larger Blizzard CX1 — generating airflow of over 62 mph inside the dustbin to separate coarse and fine dust. Powerful suction performance is not sacrificed for compact size. The trade-off versus the Blizzard CX1 is the smaller 1.0-liter dustbin, the non-lifetime filter, and the absence of ComfortClean — the Boost CX1 requires more frequent bin emptying and filter replacement than the Blizzard series.

AllTeQ Floorhead SBD 365-3 — Hard Floor and Low-Pile Carpet

The included AllTeQ SBD 365-3 floorhead is a suction-only universal floorhead that glides effortlessly across hard floors — hardwood, tile, laminate, marble, stone, and vinyl. It is effective on low-pile carpet as well, though without a rotating brushroll it will not agitate medium or high-pile carpet to remove embedded dirt and pet hair. If your home has significant carpet, an optional TurboTeQ STB 305-3 turbobrush ($149 from Miele) can be added for air-driven brushroll carpet cleaning.

Hygiene AirClean Filter — High Particle Retention

The Hygiene AirClean filter provides high-level particle retention for cleaner exhaust air. Unlike the Blizzard CX1’s lifetime filters, the Hygiene AirClean filter requires periodic replacement — Miele recommends replacing it annually under normal use. For allergy sufferers requiring HEPA-level filtration, Miele offers the optional HEPA AirClean Filter SF-HA 60 ($59) as a direct replacement upgrade. The filter frames are manufactured from recycled plastic as part of Miele’s sustainability commitment.

1.0-Liter Dustbin — Compact but Requires More Frequent Emptying

The Boost CX1’s 1.0-liter dustbin is half the capacity of the Blizzard CX1’s 2.0-liter bin. For a small apartment cleaned weekly, this is manageable — but for larger spaces or more frequent cleaning, it will need to be emptied more often than the Blizzard series. The dustbin empties with a push-button release — designed to minimize dust exposure during disposal.

4-Stage Electronic Suction Control

A 4-stage electronic rotary selector adjusts suction from minimum to maximum — lower settings for delicate surfaces and upholstery, higher settings for deep cleaning.

Comfort Telescopic Wand — Adjustable Height

The Comfort telescopic wand adjusts to the operator’s height for ergonomic cleaning posture, locking in the selected position.

32-Foot Operating Radius

A 32-foot operating radius (21-foot cord plus hose and wand) covers most apartment rooms from a single outlet.

Stair-Safe Design

The TrackDrive side wheels allow the Boost CX1 to be safely set down on any stair step during stair cleaning — it stays in place rather than sliding or tipping, making staircase vacuuming significantly more convenient than with conventional canister vacuums.

Frequently Asked Questions — Miele Boost CX1

Is the Miele Boost CX1 good for carpet?

The Boost CX1 works on low-pile carpet but is not designed for deep carpet cleaning — the AllTeQ floorhead is suction-only with no rotating brushroll. A Miele customer review on the manufacturer’s website specifically notes it does not work well on carpeting and is best on hard surfaces. For homes with significant carpet, the Blizzard CX1 TurboTeam or Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog are the better choices.

What is TrackDrive?

TrackDrive is Miele’s side-wheel stability system on the Boost CX1 — wheels mounted on the sides of the canister keep it tracking straight, prevent tipping on hard floors, and allow it to be safely set down on stair steps during stair cleaning. It is the Boost CX1’s signature feature and the reason it handles so easily in tight spaces and on stairs.

Does the Miele Boost CX1 have a HEPA filter?

The standard Hygiene AirClean filter provides high particle retention but is not HEPA certified. An optional HEPA AirClean Filter SF-HA 60 ($59 from Miele) can replace the standard filter for HEPA-level filtration. Unlike the Blizzard CX1 models, the Boost CX1 filter requires annual replacement — it is not a lifetime filter.

How does the Boost CX1 compare to the Blizzard CX1?

The Boost CX1 is smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the Blizzard CX1 series. Key differences: the Boost has a 1.0-liter dustbin (vs Blizzard’s 2.0 liters), a replaceable filter (vs Blizzard’s lifetime filters), no ComfortClean self-cleaning filter, no Silence System (78 dB vs quieter Blizzard), and TrackDrive side-wheel stability instead of DynamicDrive. The Blizzard CX1 series provides more features, better filtration, and larger capacity — the Boost CX1 offers compact size and lower price.

Is the Miele Boost CX1 available in other colors?

Yes. The Boost CX1 is also available in Graphite Grey and Obsidian Black. All three colors share identical specs and features.

Does the Miele Boost CX1 require replacement filters?

Yes. The Hygiene AirClean filter requires periodic replacement — Miele recommends annually under normal use. The optional HEPA AirClean Filter SF-HA 60 ($59) is a direct replacement that upgrades filtration to HEPA level.
