$22.99
Genuine Tacony OEM Motor Compartment (part# B352-0143) — the current replacement for the discontinued B352-0100. Fits Powr-Flite PF600BPG and is the replacement motor compartment for the Tornado Pac-Vac 6 Aircomfort 93012. In stock in Crystal, MN. Call 763-535-0770.
The Motor Compartment B352-0143 is the genuine Tacony OEM motor housing for Tacony backpack vacuums, and it is the current part number that replaces the discontinued B352-0100. It is the moulded lower body the motor sits inside — the part that carries the motor, locates the shrouds and seals stacked above it, channels exhaust air out through the post filter, and absorbs the shock every time the machine is set down on a hard floor.
Because it is structural rather than a wear item, the motor compartment is normally replaced after damage rather than on a schedule. The failure points are the motor mounting bosses, the base, and the opening around the post filter: hairline cracks start there and open up under vibration. Heat distortion is the other cause, usually after a motor has been run with a blocked filter. Either way the consequence is the same — the motor no longer sits square, the seals above it cannot compress evenly all the way round, air leaks past the filtration path, and the machine chews through motor seals. Replace the compartment when it is cracked, split, heat-distorted, or when the motor will not seat square in it.

Supersession — ordering the right number
Tacony replaced B352-0100 with B352-0143. The old number is discontinued and carries no price, so if you are working from an older parts book, a printed schematic or a previous order that shows B352-0100, B352-0143 is what you need. Nothing about the fitting position changes. When you have the machine open, inspect the bottom motor shroud seal and the motor seal at the same time — both sit directly on this compartment and both are cheap next to the labour of opening the machine twice. Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado and Powr-Flite equipment since 1956. Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Motor Compartment (part# B352-0143) do?
It is the moulded housing that the vacuum motor sits inside, forming the lower body of the machine. It carries the motor, locates the motor shrouds and seals above it, routes the exhaust air out through the post filter, and takes the load every time the machine is set down. It is a structural part, not a cover.
Does the Motor Compartment B352-0143 replace B352-0100?
Yes. B352-0143 is the current part and B352-0100 is the prior number, now discontinued with no price. If your parts book, an old invoice or a schematic shows B352-0100, order B352-0143 instead – it is the same position in the machine.
What models is the Motor Compartment (part# B352-0143) compatible with?
It is listed directly for the Powr-Flite PF600BPG backpack vacuum, and it is the current replacement for B352-0100, which is reference 27 on the Tornado Pac-Vac 6 Aircomfort 93012 parts book. Note that the later Tornado 93012B uses a different motor compartment, X1288. If you are unsure which your machine takes, call 763-535-0770 with your model number and we will confirm it.
How do I know if my Motor Compartment needs replacing?
It is replaced for damage rather than wear. Look for cracks around the motor mounting bosses or the base, splits at the post filter opening, distortion from heat, or a compartment that will no longer hold the motor square so the seals above it cannot compress evenly. A cracked compartment leaks air and lets the motor move, which chews through motor seals.
