$12.99
Genuine OEM motor cover (part# B051-0514B) for the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC. Call 763-535-0770.
The Motor Cover (part# B051-0514B) encloses the vacuum motor on the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V), and on the Powr-Flite PF62EC.
A motor cover is doing more than hiding the motor. It completes the air path around the motor so cooling air is drawn where the designer intended, it holds the motor gasket in compression, and it is an electrical barrier between the operator and a live assembly. A machine running with a cracked or missing cover is running a motor that is cooling differently from the way it was designed to, and that shows up eventually as bearing and brush wear rather than as an immediate failure.

What to look for
Heat is the enemy here. Check the inside face for discolouration or distortion, which says the motor has been running hotter than it should — usually because of a restriction further up the airflow, such as a choked bag or a clogged filter. Fitting a new cover without finding that restriction means the new one goes the same way.
Check the mating face is flat and that every fastener is present. A cover held down unevenly leaks cooling air and lets fine dust into the motor compartment, and dust in a motor is what turns a five-year motor into a two-year one.
Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number and we will confirm the part before you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which machines does this cover fit?
The Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC.
The inside of my old cover is discoloured. What does that mean?
That the motor has been running hot, usually because of a restriction upstream – a choked bag or a clogged filter. Find the restriction before fitting the new cover, or it will do the same.
Can I run the machine with the cover off?
No. It completes the motor cooling path and acts as an electrical barrier. Running without it changes how the motor cools and exposes a live assembly.
