What the front neck coupling does

Everything you do with the machine passes through this joint. The coupling carries the pivot the handle reclines on, transfers the push and pull of cleaning from the handle into the nozzle, and holds the two mouldings in alignment so the handle duct stays sealed against the bag mount.
