What the 36V 5A Battery Charger does
The charger converts wall power into the regulated 36V output the lithium-ion pack needs, managing the charge safely to full and then holding off. Matched to the CMBP-6CL battery chemistry and voltage, it recharges the pack at 5 amps for a reasonable turnaround, and its charge-management protects the cells for a long service life.
Signs the 36V 5A Battery Charger needs replacing
Replace the charger if it no longer charges the battery, will not power on, gets excessively hot, or its cord or connector is damaged. A pack that will not charge is sometimes the charger rather than the battery — test with a known-good pack if possible. Never use a charger with a damaged cord on a lithium-ion pack.
Installation and fit
Plug the new X1194 charger into a suitable outlet and connect it to the CMBP-6CL battery per the instructions, charging on a hard, ventilated surface. Confirm it charges the pack to full and shuts back appropriately. Use only the correct CMBP-6CL charger with this battery. Twin City Vacuum has sold and serviced CleanMax equipment since 1956, and every part is sourced directly from Tacony. Browse more CleanMax parts, or learn more at CleanMax.
