Plastic Crevice Tool 90030

This is the crevice tool supplied with the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister and the Simplicity Brio. One Tacony part number covers both machines. It is the narrow tapered nozzle for edges, corners and anywhere the floor tool cannot reach.

What the Plastic Crevice Tool Does

A crevice tool works by concentrating the machine’s whole airflow into a small opening, which is what gives it the velocity to lift grit out of a corner or an upholstery seam. That is also why it is the tool most likely to be lost, chewed or melted — it gets pushed into places nothing else reaches, including radiators and heater vents.

Where It Sits on the Machine

It fits on the end of the wand or directly on the hose handle, shown in the accessory group on the TV 2 SS diagrams.

When to Replace It

Replace it when the tip has worn round or split, when it has been crushed, or when it has simply gone missing — which is the usual reason. A split crevice tool leaks air along its length and loses the velocity that makes it work.

Fitting Notes

Push it fully onto the wand so it cannot come off inside furniture. If it has been used on a heater vent or anywhere warm, check the tip has not deformed; a softened tip will not seal on the wand afterwards.

Yes. It fits the wand or the hose handle, whichever suits the job. On the handle alone you get more control for upholstery seams and car interiors; on the wand you get the reach for skirting boards and behind furniture.
