Post filter vs HEPA filter — they are not the same part

These machines carry two distinct filters and they are easy to confuse. The HEPA filter (B352-5200) is the pleated media panel on the intake side of the motor, filtering the dirty air coming off the bag. The post filter (B352-2400) is this part — a foam element on the exhaust side, fitted after the motor in the post filter frame (B352-1100). When to replace the post filter

The post filter greys and stiffens over time as it loads with motor carbon.
