Tornado CV 38/2 & 48/2 Lock Piece Kit (4 Sets) K28890840

The Lock Piece Kit (part# K28890840) is a genuine Tacony OEM replacement for the Tornado CV 38/2 and Tornado CV 48/2 commercial upright vacuums. It is a kit of four lock piece sets for the brush head.

Lock pieces are what hold the head’s panels together and they are usually the first thing lost during a belt change. Tacony supplies four sets in one bag rather than singly, which is sensible — if one has failed the others are the same age.

Fitting notes

Unplug the machine. Fit them dry, without grease, and make sure each one seats fully before the cover goes back; a lock piece that is proud will stop the cover clipping down and be blamed on the cover.

How to be sure this is your part

Match the part number on the old component where one is visible, or match its position on the factory diagram for your model. Our diagram pages for these machines show every numbered position with the part number beside it, so you can confirm before ordering. If you are unsure, call us with the model number from the machine’s data plate and we will check it against the parts book.

Compatible Models

• Tornado CV 38/2 (15″, Model 91415)
• Tornado CV 48/2 (19″, Model 91419)

Frequently asked questions

Is this an original Tacony part?

Yes. This is the OEM component Tacony lists for these models, not an aftermarket copy.

Will it fit my machine if the model number is not listed above?

The list above comes from Tacony’s own where-used records for this part number. If your machine is not on it, call before ordering — the CV and CVD ranges share a great deal but not everything.

Do you stock it?

We hold the fast-moving parts for this range and order the rest in. Call 763-535-0770 and we will tell you what is on the shelf today.
