The Yellow Front Cover BAA0013108 is the genuine Tacony OEM 6 quart front cover for the Tornado Pac-Vac range, fitting the Pac-Vac 6 Aircomfort, the Pac-Vac 10 Aircomfort and the Pac-Vac 6 Roam. It is the moulded yellow panel on the front of the machine that closes the bag compartment, and it does more work than it looks like it does: it clamps the compartment shut against the two metal latches so the bag chamber seals, it shields the bag and the compartment gaskets from impact, and it is the first thing to hit the frame every time the machine goes through a doorway.

Fitting the cover

The front cover is reference 9 in the Tornado Pac-Vac parts book and is one of the easier repairs on the machine — it comes off the front of the body with the metal latches, and no motor or filter work is involved. Check the two metal latches (A352-3300) and the bag compartment seals (B352-6100) while the cover is off; a cover that cracked from being over-latched often means the seal underneath has already flattened, and replacing both at once restores the seal properly.
