This is the control board assembly for the 230-volt version of the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister vacuum. It is the 230-volt counterpart of part number 39262, and the two are separate Tacony part numbers that are not interchangeable.

What the Control Board Assembly 230V Does

The board sits between the on/off switch and the motor, taking the operator’s input and delivering mains power to the motor. Moving that duty off the switch contacts is what keeps the switch alive on a machine that is turned on and off dozens of times a shift — and on a 230-volt supply the board is specified for that supply, which is exactly why it has its own part number.

Replace the board when the machine is dead with a known-good cord and switch, when it runs intermittently, or when there is heat damage or a burnt smell around it. Check the cord and the switch terminals first — between them they account for most no-run faults and both are cheaper.

Photograph the wiring before disconnecting anything, and confirm from the rating plate that you are working on a 230-volt machine before ordering. Getting a lead onto the wrong terminal on a mains board is a mistake worth taking one photograph to avoid.
