What the On/Off Switch Assembly Kit Does

The switch is the single most-operated part on the machine. In commercial cleaning it is pressed dozens of times a shift, and every one of those operations arcs the contacts a little. That is why it eventually fails and why the machine puts a control board between the switch and the motor — the board carries the heavy current so the switch does not have to.

Replace the switch assembly when the machine will not start reliably, when it has to be pressed hard or held to run, when it runs intermittently as the machine is moved, or when there is any smell of burning around it.
