This is the wheel kit for the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister vacuum, Model 93282. Tacony lists a quantity of two per machine, and its where-used record names this model only — the swivelling front caster is a separate, shared part.

What the Wheel Kit Does

The two fixed wheels carry the weight and the caster does the steering. That division is why worn wheels show up as a machine that drags and thumps rather than one that will not turn: the tread has gone hard or flat and the canister no longer rolls freely behind the operator. On hard floors a hardened wheel also marks, which gets noticed in a finished building.

When to Replace It

Replace the wheels when the tread has worn flat or gone hard, when a wheel wobbles on its axle, or when the machine has started to mark hard floors. Replace both together — one new wheel against one worn one leaves the canister sitting crooked, which puts the load onto the caster.

Fitting Notes

Clear wound hair and fibre from the axles while the wheels are off; it is the usual reason a wheel stops rolling freely long before its tread wears out. Roll the machine on a flat floor afterwards and confirm it tracks straight and rolls without resistance.
