Genuine Tornado OEM 8 ft. combined vacuum and pressure hose assembly (part# 19535) — one bundled line carrying the vacuum return and the pressurised solution feed between machine and tool. The factory book lists two numbers with identical descriptions, 19535 and 19639; call 763-535-0770 with your serial number so we can confirm which your machine takes, and for current pricing. Two part numbers, one description — read this before ordering

The factory parts book for the deluxe spotter lists two eight-foot vacuum and pressure hose assemblies against the same callout, 19535 and 19639, with word-for-word identical descriptions and identical model coverage. The book does not say what separates them, and we are not going to guess: a hose assembly carries both the vacuum path and the pressurised solution line, and the cuff, the fitting and the internal line are not interchangeable by eye. We have asked Tornado which number supersedes which. Until that is answered we list both exactly as the factory does.

Call us at 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number before ordering either one. We will read the correct number off your machine’s own book rather than have you order a hose that fits the chassis but not the fittings.

What a combined vacuum and pressure hose does

A spotter runs two circuits down one hose so the operator handles a single line. The large-bore vacuum path carries the dirty solution back to the recovery tank under suction; a smaller pressurised solution line runs alongside or inside it and feeds the trigger valve on the tool. Both terminate in a cuff and fitting set that has to match the machine and the tool at each end.

The eight-foot length is the working radius of the machine. It is chosen so the operator can reach across a vehicle interior or a stair flight with the spotter parked, and it is short enough that the vacuum path does not lose meaningful lift to friction over its run.

When to replace a vacuum and pressure hose

Replace the assembly when the vacuum path has split, collapsed or pulled out of its cuff, when the solution line weeps or sprays anywhere along its length, when a fitting leaks under pressure and will not seal with a new seal, or when the hose has been crushed and no longer holds its bore.

Weak suction at the tool with a sound recovery tank and a clean filter usually means air entering the vacuum path somewhere along the hose or at a cuff, not a tired vacuum motor. Pull the hose off and block the inlet by hand: if the machine pulls strongly at the inlet and weakly at the tool, the fault is in the hose.

A solution line that sprays inside the vacuum jacket is the harder fault to spot — the spray is swallowed and the only symptom is a jet that has gone soft while the pump sounds normal.

Fitting notes

Match the fittings before you match the length. Two eight-foot assemblies can carry different cuffs or different solution-line fittings, and a hose that reaches but does not seal is no use. Route the new hose without a tight bend at either end; a kink at the machine cuff is the most common cause of a hose that fails early. Run the pump against a closed trigger and check every fitting for weeping before the machine goes back into service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the Vacuum/Pressure Hose Assembly 19535?

Eight feet. That length is the machine’s working radius — long enough to reach across a vehicle interior or a stair flight with the spotter parked, short enough that the vacuum path does not lose meaningful lift to friction.

What is the difference between 19535 and 19639?

The factory book lists both against the same callout with identical descriptions and identical model coverage, and does not say what separates them. We have asked Tornado and have not guessed in the meantime. Call us at 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number and we will read the correct number off your machine’s own book.

How do I know if my hose assembly is the problem?

Pull the hose off and block the machine inlet by hand. Strong suction at the inlet and weak suction at the tool means air is entering along the hose or at a cuff, not a tired vacuum motor. A jet that has gone soft while the pump sounds normal can be the solution line spraying inside the vacuum jacket, where the leak is hidden.
