Tornado Zephyr Harness and Straps K65410183

The harness and straps assembly (part# K65410183) is the complete wearable harness of the Tornado Zephyr — the shoulder straps, waist belt and padding that carry the machine on the operator’s back.

This is a genuine Tacony OEM part for the Tornado Zephyr.

Compatible Models for the Harness and Straps K65410183

• Tornado: TV570-Q03-U Zephyr cordless backpack vacuum

PartSmart lists this part on the Zephyr and on no other machine, so the fit is specific rather than shared. If your machine is a different Tornado cordless model, call 763-535-0770 with the model number and we will find the right part for it.

What the harness and straps does

It transfers the whole weight of the machine into the operator’s shoulders and hips, and it is the difference between a backpack vacuum that can be worn for a shift and one that cannot. Every adjustment, buckle and pad on it is worked constantly.

Signs it needs replacing

Replace it when webbing is frayed or cut, when a buckle no longer holds its adjustment, when padding has compressed flat, or when a mounting point has torn. Harness wear is a comfort and a safety issue — a strap that lets go with a machine on it is nobody’s idea of a good day.

Installation and fit

Unclip the old harness from its mounting points, noting how the straps route around the shell, and fit the new one the same way. Adjust it on the operator who will wear it rather than on the bench.
