Tornado Zephyr Pre Filter K54140073 (5 Pack)

The pre filter (part# K54140073) is the Tornado Zephyr’s intake-side filter, sold in a pack of five.

This is a genuine Tacony OEM part for the Tornado Zephyr. On the factory parts sheet it sits in the accessories sheet, listed as not shown.

Compatible Models for the Pre Filter K54140073

• Tornado: TV570-Q03-U Zephyr cordless backpack vacuum

PartSmart lists this part on the Zephyr and on no other machine, so the fit is specific rather than shared. If your machine is a different Tornado cordless model, call 763-535-0770 with the model number and we will find the right part for it.

What the pre filter does

It sits ahead of the machine’s finer filtration and catches the coarse material first, so the stages behind it last longer. Changing a cheap pre filter regularly is the least expensive way to protect the filters and the motor behind it.

Signs it needs replacing

Inspect it at every bag change and replace it when it is visibly loaded, discoloured or damaged. If suction is down and the bag is fresh, this is one of the first things to look at.

Installation and fit

No tools. Lift the old filter out and press the new one fully into its seat so no air can pass around its edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many come in a pack?

Five.

Is it the same as the motor protection filter?

No. K28894190 is the motor protection filter and comes in threes; this is a separate pre filter in packs of five. Both appear on the Zephyr sheets.

Can it be washed and reused?

No — it is a dry consumable and washing ruins the media.

Which machines use it?

The Tornado Zephyr TV570-Q03-U only.
