• Tornado: TV570-Q03-U Zephyr cordless backpack vacuum

PartSmart lists this part on the Zephyr and on no other machine, so the fit is specific rather than shared. If your machine is a different Tornado cordless model, call 763-535-0770 with the model number and we will find the right part for it.

What the quick fastener does

It lets a panel be opened and closed without a screwdriver, which matters on the parts of a machine that get opened every day. It works by a cam or a quarter-turn action rather than a thread, so it does not loosen under vibration the way a screw would.

Signs it needs replacing

Replace it when it no longer holds its panel closed, when it turns without engaging, or when the head is chewed. A panel that pops open in use is both a nuisance and a route for dust.

Installation and fit

No tools. Remove the old fastener, seat the new one and check the panel latches firmly and releases cleanly several times.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many does the machine use?

Two on the main unit sheet.

Can I replace it with a screw?

Not sensibly — the panel is meant to be opened by hand, and a screw defeats that.

Is it worth keeping a spare?

Yes. It is under a dollar and stops a panel flapping.

Which machines use it?

The Tornado Zephyr TV570-Q03-U only.
