Yellow Nozzle Cover B017-3697B

The Yellow Nozzle Cover (part# B017-3697B) is the moulded top panel over the nozzle housing on the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V). It is the yellow shell that gives the machine its Tornado livery.

The nozzle cover leads the machine into everything it meets. It takes the impacts against desk legs and door frames that the furniture guard does not absorb, and on a machine that has been used hard it is usually the first moulding to show cracking — typically radiating from a mounting boss where an impact has been concentrated rather than spread. Colour fade and scuffing are cosmetic, but a crack is not: it lets the cover flex, which opens the joint at the nozzle and bleeds air.

Cover or full assembly?

This part is the cover alone. If the housing beneath it is also damaged, the complete nozzle cover assembly is part number D017-3900, which is the better answer when the nozzle has taken a serious knock. Fit the cover on its own when the shell is cracked but everything it mounts to is sound.
