Pump Assembly (View 2) is a single detail drawing. The Series F parts book uses it to show one fitting clearly that the main pump drawing cannot: callout 7, the nylon quick-disconnect female connector, 3/8-inch tube by 1/4-inch thread (32186). It is the coupling that joins the pump’s nylon tubing to the threaded port, and because it is a push-to-connect fitting it is also one of the first places to look for a solution leak after the machine has been apart. The same connector is used elsewhere on the machine — it appears on the brush assembly sheet and on the chassis sheet as well — so one part number covers several positions. Everything else in the pump circuit, including the 115V 100 PSI pump (32180) and the solenoid valve kit (SW290-KIT), is on Pump Assembly (View 1). Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 or stop by 5415 West Broadway, Crystal, MN 55428.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this page list only one part?

Because the factory sheet shows only one. The factory parts book places callout 7 on its own detail view so the fitting can be identified clearly; the rest of the pump circuit is on Pump Assembly (View 1). The page exists so the callout on that drawing has somewhere to point.

Where else is the nylon quick-disconnect connector 32186 used on the 98166?

It appears three times in the Series F book — here as callout 7, on the brush assembly sheet as callout 30, and on the chassis assembly sheet as callout 36. It is the same part number in all three positions, so one product page covers them all.

My machine leaks solution at a push-fit fitting. Should I replace the connector?

Usually yes. Push-to-connect fittings like the 32186 lose their grip after repeated disassembly, and the collet will not reliably re-seat on a tube that has been pulled out several times. Cut back the tube to a clean square end and fit a new connector.

How do I order the nylon quick-disconnect connector (part# 32186) or get help?
