What does the battery housing do on the Tornado Tempest?
It is the structural centre of the machine’s control end. The battery mount (part# K50321850) carries the 36V pack and the roller height adjustment, and the latch, release button, adjustment knob train, on/off switch and contact display all fit into it.
My Tempest battery will not stay latched — which part do I need?
Start with the battery latch (part# K50369480) and its spring (part# K63302640). If the release button stays pressed in, the release spring (part# K63301600) is the cause. If the pack rocks in a housing that is visibly cracked, the battery mount itself is the fault.
The brush height setting will not hold — where do I look?
Work down the adjustment train in order: the knob (part# K53224590), its bushing (part# K51120430), the twisting bolt (part# K51053320), the lever (part# K51297940) and the square bearing (part# K50321900). Play in the knob points at the bushing; play in everything at once points at the knob bracket (part# K50979610).
