14 in. Hard Floor Tool C352-PF20
$34.99
Genuine Tacony OEM 14-inch hard floor tool, part number C352-PF20, with screw-in clip and bristle strip. Fits Tornado Pac-Vac, CleanMax CMBP and Powr-Flite Comfort Pro backpack vacuums.
The 14-inch hard floor tool (part# C352-PF20) is a genuine Tacony OEM attachment for the Tornado, CleanMax and Powr-Flite backpack vacuum range. It is a fourteen-inch bristled floor tool with a screw-in clip, built for hard surfaces rather than carpet. The bristle strip is the whole point: it holds the tool a controlled distance off the floor and sweeps debris into the airflow instead of pushing it along ahead of the nozzle.
Compatible Models for the 14-Inch Hard Floor Tool
This tool is a genuine Tacony OEM component shared across multiple brands and models:
- Tornado: Pac-Vac 6 Aircomfort — Model 93012, Pac-Vac 10 Aircomfort — Model 93014, Pac-Vac 6 Roam Battery Backpack — Model 93016B-1
- CleanMax: CMBP-6.2 backpack vacuum, CMBP-6CL cordless backpack vacuum
- Powr-Flite: the Comfort Pro backpack range — BP6P, BP6S, BP10P and BP10S, plus the Comfort Pro Freedom battery backpacks CPF6P and CPF6P-1C
Does it fit my hose?
All the attachment tools in this range share the same 1-1/2 inch cuff, so any of them fits any of the machines listed above. If you have one of those backpacks, this tool fits it — there is no separate 6-quart and 10-quart version of the attachments.
Why hard floors need a different tool
On carpet, the tool wants to sit close and pull air through the pile. On a hard floor that same close fit is a problem: the tool seals against the surface, airflow stalls, and larger debris gets pushed along in front of the lip instead of being picked up. Anyone who has tried to vacuum grit off a corridor with a carpet tool has watched it happen.
The bristle strip solves both halves. It lifts the tool off the floor so air keeps moving, and it sweeps loose debris up into that airflow. The result is that grit, crumbs and paper get collected on the first pass rather than chased down the room.
It is also the gentler tool. Bristles keep hard plastic off polished vinyl, sealed timber and stone, so you are not putting fine scratches into a floor somebody paid to have finished.
When to replace it
Replace it when the bristles have worn short, gone missing in sections or splayed outward. Once the bristle line is uneven the tool starts riding on its plastic body, which both loses the airflow gap and puts the hard edge back in contact with the floor.
Also replace it if the body or neck has cracked, if the swivel has seized or gone sloppy, or if the cuff no longer grips the hose firmly. A worn bristle strip is the most common reason a hard floor tool stops picking up grit, and it is easy to mistake for a machine problem.
Frequently Asked Questions
How wide is the C352-PF20 hard floor tool?
Fourteen inches, on a 1-1/2 inch cuff, supplied with a screw-in clip so it stays put on the machine.
What is the difference between this and the carpet tool (B352-PF10)?
C352-PF20 has a bristle strip and is built for hard surfaces; B352-PF10 has a shaped lip and is built for carpet. Using the carpet tool on a hard floor tends to push grit along in front of it rather than pick it up.
How do I know if my hard floor tool (part# C352-PF20) needs replacing?
Bristles that are worn short, missing in sections or splayed outward, a cracked body or neck, a seized or sloppy swivel, or a cuff that no longer grips. If the tool has stopped picking up grit on hard floors, the bristle strip is the first thing to check.
What machines does the 14-inch hard floor tool (part# C352-PF20) fit?
Tornado Pac-Vac 6 Aircomfort (93012), Pac-Vac 10 Aircomfort (93014) and Pac-Vac 6 Roam (93016B-1); CleanMax CMBP-6.2 and CMBP-6CL; and the Powr-Flite Comfort Pro backpacks BP6P, BP6S, BP10P, BP10S, CPF6P and CPF6P-1C.
