2-Piece Straight Extension Wand 90027

This is the two-piece straight extension wand supplied with the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister and the Simplicity Brio. Tacony’s own catalogue names it against the TV 2 SS, but its where-used record covers the Brio as well, so this listing carries no single brand.

What the 2-Piece Straight Extension Wand Does

The wand sets the working height. Two straight sections let an operator clean a floor without stooping and then break the wand down to a single section for stairs, upholstery and above-floor work. Because it is the part between the hose and the tool, it also carries every bit of the leverage the operator applies — which is why the joints are what wear.

Where It Sits on the Machine

It connects between the hose handle and the floor tool, shown in the accessory group on the TV 2 SS diagrams.

Compatible Models for the 2-Piece Straight Extension Wand

• Tornado TV 2 SS Dry Canister Vacuum — Model 93282
• Simplicity Brio Canister Vacuum

This is one part shared by both machines, so you are ordering the same component whichever you own. Not sure which you have? Call us at 763-535-0770 and we will confirm it.

When to Replace It

Replace a wand when a section has split, when it is dented enough to restrict airflow, or when the joints no longer grip so the sections pull apart in use. A wand that keeps separating mid-pass is the usual complaint; the friction fit has worn and it will not come back.

Fitting Notes

Push the sections fully home and give them a slight twist to seat them. If a joint is marginal, check it with the machine running — a wand that holds together dry can still pull apart under suction load. Keep the wand out of the way of chair castors, which is how most of them get crushed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this wand fit both the Tornado TV 2 SS and the Simplicity Brio?

Yes. Tacony lists part number 90027 against both machines, so it is one wand for either. Tacony’s own product name mentions the TV 2 SS, but the fitment record covers the Brio too.

My wand keeps coming apart while I vacuum. Can I fix it?

Usually not for long. The sections hold together on a friction fit, and once that has worn there is nothing to adjust. Check the joint for splits and dents — if the fit is loose dry, it will be worse under suction, and a new wand is the honest answer.
