Lower Cord Clip B431-4114B

The Lower Cord Clip (part# B431-4114B) holds the power cord against the lower part of the machine on the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V), and on the Powr-Flite PF62EC.

This is the quiet one of the three cord fittings. It does not get flicked or slung like the hooks; its job is simply to keep the cord tight to the body so it does not swing into the brush roll or under the wheels. Because it holds the cord at a fixed point, it is also the strain relief that stops a tug at the wall socket being transmitted all the way up to the switch terminals inside the handle.

Why a missing clip costs more than it looks

When this clip breaks the cord starts to hang in a loop at the back of the machine. That loop finds the wheels, the brush roll and every door frame on the route.
