What the SF-AP 50-1 AirClean Plus Filter Does

AirClean Plus is a step above the standard AirClean filter: Miele says it safely seals in the dust so the room air is cleaner after vacuuming than before. It fits the exhaust filter compartment of every Guard, Complete C2/C3 and Compact canister and is interchangeable with the standard, Active AirClean and HEPA AirClean filters for those machines. It is not a HEPA filter — households with allergies should choose the SF-HA 50-1 HEPA AirClean filter for the same slot.

When to Replace the SF-AP 50-1 AirClean Plus Filter

Miele recommends changing the filter once a year to maintain performance. Change it sooner if the exhaust smells stale or dust settles soon after vacuuming.
