Key Features of the Miele Guard M1 AllFloor
AllFloor Floorbrush — One Head for Carpet and Hard Floors
Miele describes the AllFloor brush as a floorhead for all surfaces, with unique agility and a particularly flat design that slides under furniture. It is a suction-only head — there is no motorized brushroll and no electrobrush in the box — so it relies on the vacuum’s airflow. That makes it the everyday head for homes that move from rugs to hardwood to tile without stopping to swap attachments.
Parquet Twister SBB 300-3 — For Delicate Hard Floors
The second floorhead is the Parquet Twister SBB 300-3, Miele’s swiveling hard-floor brush. Its soft bristles and maneuverable joint let it follow table legs and baseboards and lift fine dust from parquet, hardwood, laminate and stone without scratching. Use it where the finish matters; switch to the AllFloor brush for rugs and carpet.
Active AirClean Filter — Odor Control
The Guard M1 AllFloor ships with Miele’s Active AirClean exhaust filter. Its activated charcoal layer helps neutralize odors from pets, smoke and cooking while filtering fine dust. It is not a HEPA filter. Miele lists the HEPA AirClean filter SF-HA 50-1 as a compatible upgrade for allergy households — call us to order one.
ComfortFit Sealed System
Miele’s ComfortFit filter system is designed so exhaust air passes through the bag and filters rather than around them, for less dust in the room after vacuuming. A motor protection filter guards the motor.
HyClean Pure CO Bag — 4.5 Liters
The Guard M1 AllFloor uses HyClean Pure CO bags with 4.5-liter (4.8 qt) capacity. A FilterBag change indicator tells you when it’s full, and automatic FilterBag positioning seats each new bag correctly. ⚠ The Guard M1 uses CO bags — NOT the TU bags used by the Guard L1.
MODE Button with Illuminated LED Icons
Suction is set with a single MODE button on the canister, which steps through the cleaning levels; illuminated LED icons show the current setting at a glance. Lower settings suit curtains and upholstery, higher settings suit rugs and carpet.
Built-In Three-Piece Accessory Compartment
The upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle and dust brush live in a dedicated compartment in the canister body, so they are always with the vacuum.
HES Mid-Size Telescopic Wand
The HES mid-size telescopic wand adjusts to the user’s height and locks to either floorhead.
36-Foot Operating Radius and One-Touch Cord Rewind
A 24-foot cord gives the Guard M1 AllFloor a 36-foot (11 m) operating radius, so you change outlets less often. Tap the foot switch and the whole cord rewinds.
Carrying Handle, Park System and Furniture Protection
An ergonomic carrying handle makes stairs easier, the park system holds the wand and floorhead during breaks, furniture protection bumpers guard baseboards and furniture legs, and three-point maneuverability on floor-gentle castors keeps it rolling smoothly.
Tested for 20 Years’ Equivalent Use
Miele tested Guard series models and core components for 750 hours of use — the equivalent of 37.5 hours a year for 20 years.

What floorheads come with the Miele Guard M1 AllFloor?
Two suction-only floorheads: the AllFloor floorbrush, designed by Miele to clean carpet and hard floors with one flat, agile head, and the Parquet Twister SBB 300-3, a dedicated brush for delicate hard floors such as parquet, hardwood and tile. Neither is powered — there is no electrobrush in the box — so cleaning comes from the vacuum’s own suction.
Is the Guard M1 AllFloor good for carpet?
It handles low and medium pile carpet and area rugs well with the AllFloor floorbrush. Because the AllFloor head is not motorized, homes with thick carpet or heavy pet hair are better served by the Guard M1 Cat & Dog, which adds an air-driven TurboBrush STB 305-3.
What bags does the Guard M1 AllFloor use?
HyClean Pure CO bags, 4.5 liters (4.8 qt) — the same bag as every Guard M1. They are not the TU bags used by the Guard L1 or the GN bags used by the Classic C1. One CO bag comes in the box; we stock the Miele CO HyClean Air 4-pack.
How is the Guard M1 AllFloor different from the Guard M1 Terra?
The AllFloor ($599) ships with two floorheads — the AllFloor floorbrush and the Parquet Twister SBB 300-3 — and comes in Brilliant White. The Terra ($499) ships with one floorhead, the AllTeQ SBD 365-3, and comes in Terra Red. Miele rates the AllFloor at 1200W and 77 dB and the Terra at 1200W and 73 dB. Both use the same CO bags; the AllFloor has the Active AirClean filter and the Terra the standard AirClean filter.
Does the Guard M1 AllFloor have a HEPA filter?
No. It ships with Miele’s Active AirClean exhaust filter, which adds an activated charcoal layer for odor control. Miele lists the HEPA AirClean filter SF-HA 50-1 as a compatible upgrade — call us at 763-535-0770 to order one.
