Motor Chamber 39257
Genuine Tacony motor chamber, part number 39257, for the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister vacuum (Model 93282) and the Simplicity Brio canister vacuum. Call for price.
This is the motor chamber for the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister and the Simplicity Brio. Tacony lists one part number against both machines. It is the moulded housing the vacuum motor sits inside, and it is a different part from the motor cover assembly that closes over it.
What the Motor Chamber Does
The chamber does two jobs at once. It holds the motor in the right place relative to the airflow path so that everything the motor pulls has already been through the bag and the filter, and it contains the noise the motor makes. A canister vacuum is used in occupied buildings, so the acoustic job is not a luxury — a cracked chamber is audibly louder from across a room.
Where It Sits on the Machine
It sits in the lower body of the canister between the filtration and the motor cover, shown on the TV 2 SS main assembly diagram alongside its seal and the motor mount.
Compatible Models for the Motor Chamber

- Simplicity Brio Canister Vacuum
This is one part shared by both machines, so you are ordering the same component whichever you own. Not sure which you have? Call us at 763-535-0770 and we will confirm it.
When to Replace It
Replace the chamber if it is cracked, if a mounting boss has broken, or if a sealing face has been damaged. The symptoms are a machine that has got louder, or fine dust appearing downstream of the filter because air is finding a way around it through the crack. Both are worth acting on: unfiltered air through a motor shortens its life considerably.
Fitting Notes
Replace the motor chamber seal at the same time — it will have taken a set against the old chamber and will not seal properly against a new one. Seat the motor and its mount the same way they came out, and check the machine is no louder than before once it is back together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there no price shown for this part?
Tacony does not publish a price for part number 39257 in the dealer catalogue we buy from, and we will not invent one. Call Twin City Vacuum at 763-535-0770 with the part number and we will quote it, confirm availability and check it against your machine before anything ships.
My canister has got noticeably louder. What should I check?
Check the motor chamber and its seal, the insulation pieces and the motor cover, in that order. A crack in the chamber or a hardened seal lets motor noise straight out into the room. If all of those are sound, the noise is more likely coming from the motor bearings themselves.
