Motor Housing Assembly D051-0000
$40.99
Genuine OEM motor housing assembly (part# D051-0000) for the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC. Call 763-535-0770.
The Motor Housing Assembly (part# D051-0000) is the moulded chamber the vacuum motor sits in on the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V), and on the Powr-Flite PF62EC.
The housing is the sealed volume that makes suction possible. Air leaving the bag passes through it and out past the motor, and every joint in that chamber is a place where air can enter the stream instead of being pulled through the nozzle. It also holds the motor in alignment and isolates its vibration from the rest of the machine, which is why a cracked housing often announces itself as a new noise before it announces itself as lost suction.

When the housing is the problem
Look for cracks radiating from the motor mounting points and for distortion at the sealing faces. Heat distortion is the one people miss: a housing that has spent a long time with a restricted airflow can warp just enough that the faces no longer meet, and no gasket will take up that gap. Run a straight edge across the sealing face if you suspect it.
A machine that has lost suction with a new bag, a clean filter and a clear duct, and that has no obvious leak elsewhere, is a candidate for a housing inspection. Check the duct cover assembly, part number D051-0400, at the same time — it forms part of the same sealed path.
Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number and we will confirm the part before you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which machines does this housing fit?
The Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC.
Does the motor come with it?
No. The motor is a separate part – D113-3300 for the 120V machine and 39725 for the 230V.
Can a cracked housing be repaired?
Not reliably. It is a pressure boundary, so a repair has to be airtight and stay airtight through vibration and heat. Replacement is the sound answer.
