Motor Mount 39265
$1.99
Genuine Tacony motor mount, part number 39265, for the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister vacuum (Model 93282) and the Simplicity Brio canister vacuum.
This is the motor mount from the Tornado TV 2 SS dry canister and the Simplicity Brio. One Tacony part number covers both machines. It is the component the vacuum motor sits on inside the motor chamber.
What the Motor Mount Does
A vacuum motor spins fast enough that any vibration it produces will be transmitted straight into the shell unless something isolates it. The mount does that isolating, and it also holds the motor square to the air path so that the seal around it can actually seal. A perished or collapsed mount therefore costs you noise, vibration and, less obviously, suction.
Where It Sits on the Machine
It sits under the motor inside the motor chamber, shown on the TV 2 SS main assembly diagram between the insulation above and the motor cover below.
Compatible Models for the Motor Mount
- Tornado TV 2 SS Dry Canister Vacuum — Model 93282
- Simplicity Brio Canister Vacuum
This is one part shared by both machines, so you are ordering the same component whichever you own. Not sure which you have? Call us at 763-535-0770 and we will confirm it.
When to Replace It
Replace the mount when it has hardened, cracked, collapsed or gone out of shape, and whenever the motor is replaced. A new motor on a tired mount will be noisier than it should be from day one, and the mount costs a small fraction of the motor it is protecting.
Fitting Notes
Fit the mount before the motor and check the motor sits square on it rather than tilted — a motor sitting at an angle will not seal against the chamber properly. Run the machine briefly before closing everything up and listen for vibration against the shell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I replace the mount when I replace the motor?
Yes, we would. The mount will have done the same hours as the old motor and will have hardened. It costs very little against the motor, you are already inside the machine, and a new motor on a perished mount is noisier and vibrates more than it needs to.
My machine vibrates and buzzes against the floor. Is this the part?
It is a good place to start. A collapsed or hardened motor mount transmits motor vibration straight into the shell. Check the mount and the two insulation pads together, since they work as a set to keep the machine quiet.
