Squeegee B015-2414B

$1.99

Genuine OEM nozzle squeegee (part# B015-2414B) for the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC. Call 763-535-0770.

The Squeegee (part# B015-2414B) is the flexible strip along the nozzle of the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 (115V) and 97131 (230V), and of the Powr-Flite PF62EC.

Its job is to close the gap between the nozzle and a hard floor so the airflow is drawn through the opening rather than around it. On carpet the pile does that sealing itself; on tile, vinyl or polished concrete the squeegee is the only thing making the seal, which is why a machine with a worn strip cleans acceptably on carpet and disappointingly on hard floors. Operators tend to report that as a suction problem.

Checking it

Tip the machine back and look along the strip at eye level. It should be straight, flexible and in contact across its full width. What you will usually find on a used machine is a strip worn thin in the middle where the traffic is, or curled and hardened at one end. Either way the seal is broken along part of the width, and the airflow finds that gap in preference to the floor.

It is an inexpensive part with a disproportionate effect on hard-floor performance, so it is worth changing on schedule rather than on complaint — and worth checking whenever the brush roll or belt is replaced, since the nozzle is already apart.

Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number and we will confirm the part before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which machines does this squeegee fit?

The Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite, models 97130 and 97131, and the Powr-Flite PF62EC.

My machine cleans carpet fine but not tile. Is this why?

Very likely. On carpet the pile makes the seal for you. On a hard floor the squeegee is the seal, so a worn strip shows up there first and reads as lost suction.

How often should it be changed?

Whenever it is worn thin in the middle, curled at an end, or no longer touching across the full width. It is worth inspecting every time the brush roll or belt is out.
