Frequently Asked Questions

Which machines do these accessories fit?

Everything on this sheet is for the Tornado CK-LW 13/1 ProLite commercial upright, model 97130 (115V) and model 97131 (230V). The paper bag and the foam filter also fit the Powr-Flite PF62EC and the Powr-Flite PF99, and the wooden brush roll fits the PF62EC. The flat belt is shared far more widely, across Tornado, Powr-Flite, Riccar, Simplicity and CleanMax machines.

Why is the same part number shown at two positions on the diagram?

The factory parts list gives the foam filter number against two positions on this sheet. The drawing, though, shows a black foam pad at one of them and a white pleated filter cartridge at the other, and that pleated cartridge carries no separate number in the factory list. Call 763-535-0770 with your model and serial number if the filter in your machine is a pleated cartridge rather than foam.

Which of these wear out first?

The paper bag, by a long way, then the foam filter. On a single-motor upright the airflow does the cleaning, so a choked bag shows up as lost suction long before anything mechanical fails. The belt and the brush roll are a slower cycle and are usually replaced together, because fitting one means removing the other.
