CleanMax CPU-3N – Reflector Plate – A28

The CleanMax CPU-3N headlight reflector plate (part# A28) is the reflective backing that sits behind the headlight bulb and directs its light forward through the lens onto the floor. Without it, much of the bulb output would scatter inside the nozzle instead of lighting the operator work area, so it is what makes the headlight actually useful.

Replace the reflector plate when it is corroded, tarnished, scorched or bent so the beam is dim, uneven or misaimed even with a good bulb and clean lens. Years of heat from the lamp can dull the reflective surface; a dull reflector throws a weak, brownish light that looks like a failing bulb but is not. It mounts behind the bulb in the headlight pocket and is a quick change.

Work through the headlight as a system – bulb (A350-2000), socket (B625-0114), lens (N19-CL) and this reflector – when the light is weak. If the bulb and socket check out and the lens is clear but the beam is still dim, the reflector is the remaining suspect.
